More than 1,700 residents on the Illinois side of the QC were without power for nearly an hour Wednesday evening.
According to MidAmerican Energy’s website, the outage happened at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, and the customers impacted were residents of Moline and Rock Island.
The area affected included homes between the 4500 block of 5th Avenue in Rock Island, the 1700 block of 10th Street in Moline and the 1700 block of 17th Street in Moline.
A spokesperson from the company said around 11 p.m. all customers had their power restored. She said the cause was a car that had struck a pole.
