After a mysterious millionaire left cash hidden across southern California, it appears a similar game is underway in Chicago.
The Twitter handle @hiddencashchi began appearing in tweets during the last week of May 2014.
“Who wants hidden cash? You do? Follow and tweet when you find it. Then pay it forward…” reads the description on the @HiddencashChi Twitter page.
Just like the California hidden cash “game,” they’re tweeting clues and asking those who find the hidden treasure to pay it forward.
One lucky person found $60 in an envelope, and planned to buy coffee for everyone in line at a local coffee shop according to our sister station WGN-TV. That was reportedly the second drop by the anonymous hidden cash source in Chicago.
