An Iowa woman was charged with first-degree murder after a man was reportedly found dead in a Des Moines motel room.

According to a report by WHO, police were called to the Royal Motel around noon Sunday, June 1, 2014 after a body was reportedly found in a room there. Officers responded to the call, made by 35-year-old Stephanie Renee Moses, and questioned her about the incident.

Police said that Moses made statements that did not match-up with witness accounts and surveillance video footage, reported WHO. Moses was charged with first-degree murder and taken to the Polk County Jail.

An autopsy was planned to determine how the man died. His name is not being released at this time.
