Update: Missing 5-year-old found safe

UPDATE: Moline Police say the missing boy has been found safe. He was located by his grandmother just after 9:30pm. Tuesday.

ORIGINAL: Moline Police are looking for a missing 5-year-old boy, last seen at the Salvation Army on 19th Avenue.

Police say the boy’s mother last saw him riding a tricycle around 7:30 Tuesday night.

The boy’s name is Jose Chapol. He was last seen wearing a white “Mario Brothers” shirt, black shorts, black and red Jordan shoes.

He is 3 feet tall, weighing 50 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police have been contacting people in the area, using the reverse 911 system.
