Man dies from stab wound in Muscatine

Police say a stabbing ended the life of a man in Muscatine, Iowa.

Officers were sent to the 3000 block of Grandview Avenue just after 7 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014 when someone reported a stabbing happened there.

Officers reported finding 45-year-old Timothy Dean Lane unresponsive and not breathing.  Lane had suffered an apparent stab wound.

“Efforts were made to resuscitate Lane who was later pronounced dead at Trinity Hospital,” said a statement from Muscatine Police.

“It is not believed there is an immediate threat to the public as a result of this incident,” the police statement said.
