The Assumption girls track team wins their second straight 2A State Championship. The Lady Knights piled up 107 points on their way to the championship. Rose Ripslinger wons the 100 and 200-meters. Kennedy King and Joy Ripslinger were 1st and 2nd in the 800.

After finishing as runner up in 2013 the Pleasant Valley Spartans girls track team won the 4A State Championship.  PV was 1-point behind in the standings going into the last event the 4 by 400. The Spartans won first giving the points they needed for the title.

The Sherrard softball team won the 2A Regional Title after beating rival Rockridge, 11-1.  With the win the Tigers move onto the Macomb Sectional, where they will face Brimfield in the semi-finals.

The FCA story of the week features Quad Cities River Bandits catcher Brett Booth and his wife Olivia.  While Brett is playing and living in the Quad Cities, Olivia lives back in Alabama. Despite the distance the newlyweds make their marriage and faith work.
