Ferris wheel finally open to the public

The Ferris Wheel at Modern Woodmen Park is finally open to the public this Memorial Day weekend.

All money made from the first three hours of ticket sales was donated to the Genesis Foundation, and for the rest of the summer, fifty cents from every ticket will be donated to the Genesis Foundation as well.

People can ride the Ferris Wheel all summer long, whether or not a game is playing.

Tickets are on sale for $5 a ride. Hours of operation are Fridays, 6 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m.-noon and 6 p.m.-10 p.m., and Sundays, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Special operation hours on Memorial Day weekend will be noon to 6 p.m. both Sunday and Monday.
