Traffic slow-going after vehicle swerves off John Deere Road in Moline

A vehicle rolled on its side after swerving off John Deere Road reportedly trying to avoid a car having its tire changed on the side of the road.

Moline Police said a vehicle heading eastbound on John Deere Road near Target swerved off the road, landing in a ditch sometime before 5 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014. The car rolled onto its side.

The driver of the rolled vehicle was taken to an area hospital, according to police.

Traffic was backed up on the roadway around 5:15 p.m. as crews had only the far left lane open to eastbound drivers. Westbound traffic was unaffected.

    It all could of been avioided had the person who swerved had been paying attention. I guess that why I will not shop on john deere road for anything. Nothing that road has on it, I can’t get somewhere else, or online.
