The John Deere Commons Landing will be closed during Memorial Day Weekend from Friday, May 23, 2014 to Monday, May 26, 2014 for the Channel Cat Water Taxi.
The Channel Cat opens up Memorial Day Weekend. The John Deere Common's Landing will be closed due to rising flood waters. Channel Cat rides begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the Celebration Belle Landing in Moline. The last ride on Sunday, May 25, 2014 should be around 7 p.m. The last ride Monday, should be around 7:25 p.m. To see a full schedule, click here.
Parts of River Drive in Moline are closed because of the Mississippi River. The closure goes from 41st Street to 55th Street. Crews say the closure could last until Tuesday, May 27, 2014. To see how the flood waters are affecting other parts of the Quad Cities, click here.
The 55th Street boat dock at Moline's Ben Butterworth Parkway will not be open Memorial Day Weekend either. Moline Public Works says it is too dangerous to set up, at this time.
