St. Ambrose University has agreed to purchase an eye care center in Davenport.

St. Ambrose University has agreed to purchase an eye care center in Davenport.

A spokesperson from St. Ambrose University announced Thursday, May 22, 2014 that the university has agreed to buy the Eye Care Pavilion on West Locust Street. With the purchase comes a new location for the care center.

When the agreement was made, the Eye Care Pavilion had six optometrists, an optical dispensary of eyeglasses, contact lenses and other eye care items.

The location was set to be taken over by St. Ambrose in spring of 2015. Until then, the Eye Care Pavilion’s current owners will continue to run it.

In spring of 2015 the Eye Care Pavilion will move to a new location at 4310 East 53rd Street in Davenport. At the new location, doctors and staff will continue to treat existing patients and take new ones.
