Davenport Community Schools were set to get feedback from parents about what school start times work best for them.
The school district has posted nine different start time options for parents to review (Click here to see the options).
The district originally voted April 12, 2014 to change the current start times.
"There was a lot of unrest, mainly with elementary parents," said Dr. Arthur Tate, Superintendent of Davenport Schools.
Tate said hundreds of parents petitioned after last month's vote. Tate is recommending parents review the nine different start time options, and then attend the three public meetings.
The meetings are as follows:
- Wednesday, May 21 in the West High School auditorium, 3505 West Locust Street
- Thursday, May 22 in the Central High School auditorium, 1120 Main Street
- Thursday, May 29 in the North High School auditorium, 626 West 53rd Street.
Tate told News 8 the school board is likely to make a final decision in June. The new start times will begin in August of 2014.
