WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) — Kraft is recalling 1.2 million cases of cottage cheese that could spoil prematurely and cause illness.
The recall, announced Saturday, includes the Knudsen, Breakstone, Simply Kraft and Daily Chef brands.
Some ingredients weren’t properly stored in a California facility, Kraft Foods Group said.
The plant is currently not making these products and officials are working to fix the issue, Kraft said.
Kraft did not disclose any illnesses tied to the products and called the recall precautionary.
Many of the varieties recalled are tubs between 4 and 16 ounces. The products were stamped with dates between May 9 and July 23.
Each case includes between six and twelve tubs of cottage cheese.
