16 pounds of drugs found in luggage at Galesburg Amtrak station

Police said they found more than a dozen pounds of drugs in a California man’s luggage at the Galesburg Amtrak station.

A statement from the Galesburg Police Department said that on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 a K-9 alert led to officers finding about 10 pounds of cannabis and six pounds of hash in 55-year-old Steven Ladoux's luggage.

Police said Ladoux, who is from Galesburg, was charged with cannabis trafficking (over 5,000 grams). He was set to appear in Knox County court on Wednesday, May 7.
