Construction work on I-74 in Moline will cause overnight lane closures.
The Illinois Department of Transportation said that starting Monday evening, May 5, 2014 crews will be working to wash bridges along the roadway from the south end of the Mississippi River Bridge to south of 7th Avenue.
To avoid traffic delays and congestion, lane closures will be between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. In Bettendorf, the State Street on-ramp to southbound I-74 will be closed.
“With limited nighttime visibility, drivers are asked to be extra alert when driving past the work areas,” said an IDOT spokesperson.
The project is expected to last about two weeks.
