Free dental care offered in Galesburg

A day of free dental care is being offered to adults in the area.

The Knox County Health Department’s Adult Dental Day takes place Friday, May 2, 2014 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Carl Sandburg College.

The Director of Wellness and Health Promotion, Erin Olson said at the 2012 event, $37,000 worth of care was administered to 160 residents from 17 counties. Hygienists extracted 219 teeth and filled 111 cavities.

Adult Dental Day is located in Galesburg at the Carl Sandburg College School of Dental Hygiene, Sandburg Annex, 209 East Main Street.
