A tornado warning issued for Linn County has been cancelled.
The National Weather Service said that a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado had been spotted near Walford and was moving north at 40 mph.
The warning was cancelled around 4:35 p.m. A previous warning issued for Keokuk and Iowa Counties was also cancelled around 4:20 p.m.
“The storm which prompted the warning has weakened and is no longer a threat to produce a tornado,” said an NWS spokesperson.
