Police were searching for a Rock Island man after another man was shot in the leg at a convenience store on 11th Street in Rock Island, Illinois.

The shooting was reported just after 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Eleventh Street Mart, 1520 11th Street.

Im real sick of criminals like this making our neighborhoods to dangerous for our kids to play in. Ive grown up in R.I and i love my community but if we cant get better gun control all of us law abiding citizens are gonna have to relocate unfortunately that will allow room for more criminals to move here

More gun control will not help anything or anyone. Even if they pass a law saying that we all have to turn in our guns, and all of the honest law abiding citizens obey. Do you really believe that the crooks, criminals and thugs will turn theirs in? I think not. Then all you will have is unarmed honest citizens at the pray of the same Crooks, criminals and thugs that have the guns now. The only thing that changes is the hones people have no way to defend themselves

Nikki, I would encourage you to attend a hunter safety course, they are free at the rock Island conservation club 2x a year. Apply for a FOID CARD With the state of Illinois. Also seek a right to carry class. So you would be eligible to carry a legal firearm to protect yourself and your family. These are things that these thugs aren’t able to do,As they don’t have the intelligence or the clean record to obtain the right to carry. If enough law abiding citizens started packing, these thugs will back down and think twice about harming innocent citizens. Just my thoughts.

Right to carry law is the best defense with these idiots . If they come in my home or place of business. They will be shot at and I won’t aim for the leg !!!
