Davenport work-release inmate escapes a second time

A man convicted of a weapons offense in Clinton County has reportedly escaped a Davenport work-release facility for the second time.

An inmate has disappeared from a Davenport work-release facility.

A spokesperson from the Iowa Department of Corrections said 24-year-old Tyler Sebastian Lampe was placed on escape status at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014.

In July of 2010 Lampe started serving a 15-year sentence for intimidation with a dangerous weapon after he was convicted in Clinton County, Iowa.

Lampe was later convicted of escape by a felon in connection with a 2012 incident, during which he was missing from a local work-release facility for nearly a month before he was captured.

Court records show he had been transferred again to the work-release facility in January 2014.

Lampe is described as 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes, and a tattoo on his upper left arm.

Anyone with information about Lampe’s whereabouts should call the Davenport Police Department or the Scott County Sheriff’s Department.
