The Rock Island softball team has been building for this year. The lady Rocks return several seniors that have been playing since their freshman year. With that leadership Rock Island is anticipating big things on the softball diamond.
The Augustana softball team faced Illinois Wesleyan in a double header on Friday April 18th. Down a run in the fourth, Augustana would get that run back as Jaime Rehmert hits a deep homerun to left field. That would be the only run for the Vikings who fell in 12 innings 4-1. Augustana dropped the second game 5-1 to Wesleyan.
