The Quad Cities River Bandits turned to their ace Andrew Thurman against the South Bend Silverhawks. After allowing a run in the first Thurman settled down throwing 4 1/3 innings striking out 8.
Brett Phillips would hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of the first. John Kemmer hit his first home run of the year in the sixth. Bandits Bullpen would give up 2-runs in the 9th as Quad Cities fell 4-3
