Students in the Quad Cities went under the clippers to raise money for children battling cancer.

On Wednesday, April 16 2014, more than one hundred students gathered at the PepsiCo Center at Augustana College to shave their heads. The money raised goes to St.Baldrick's for cancer research for children.

For students like Annie Martinez, she says it's about more than raising money, "Why I'm doing this is not only to raise money to show women and girls how you can still be beautiful bald. Hair is so superficial and beauty is so much than what's on the outside."

Last year they were able to raise $32,000 for the cause.
