The Quad Cities community opened its hearts and wallets for the good of the Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities.

A six-hour long telethon was held at WQAD’s studios in Moline on Sunday, April 13, 2014 to benefit the therapy center. More than $201,500 was raised by donors in the QC.

The telethon is the center’s largest fundraiser each year. The Children’s Therapy Center offers medical rehabilitation services for children with developmental disabilities. Children are not denied based on their family’s financial situation, so the fundraiser helps make treatment possible.

“The day is full of highlights,” said W.K. Juncker from the Children’s Therapy Center. “Some great people come in all from big companies to children that have emptied their piggy banks and I just think that’s a wonderful thing.”

If you would like more information or didn’t get a chance to donate to the cause, you can do so on the Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities website.
