The typically quiet halls on a Friday night at Moline's Quad City Christian School will be anything but on April 11, as students get set to host a dinner theater fundraiser to try to help build a new gym.

Students have rehearsed a play called, "If the Good Lord's Willing and the Creek don't Rise," nearly every morning for the past three months ahead of Friday night's performance.

"This is really important to them," said Maia Kristof of the Quad City Christian School. "They get to show off their talents and abilities, and help to invest in their school."

Ahead of the performance, students will serve a catered dinner and have helped to organize a silent auction as well.

Doors open Friday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The performance will follow at the school, which is located at 400 11th Street in Moline. Tickets are $20 at the door.
