Minnesota neighbors shocked after discovery of Carrie Olson

After the body of Carrie Olson, a 29-year-old Davenport woman, was found in Minnesota, authorities shifted their investigation from finding her, to figuring out how she got there and who might be involved.

Previous reports indicate that a property owner found her body Saturday, April 5, 2014, on land in rural Dakota County, Minnesota, about six miles south of the city of Hastings.

Neighbors in the area where Carrie Olson was found said they were shocked and said the area is usually pretty quiet.

“I don’t think people find this area on purpose,” said Kyle Kragenbring. “I think they find it by accident.”

“It shocked us, and then especially when we found out she was from Iowa, that’s even more shocking,” said Jesse Viall

Those who live in the area said their thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the family of Carrie Olson.

“First and foremost, our hearts go out to the family, it’s just tragic news,” said a neighbor. “I’m sure they were hoping for a different outcome.”

    Rest in peace Carrie and prayers to the family/friends….such a tragedy. I hope the family gets justice and the person or persons responsible for this get what they deserve…so sad.
