The birds were singing as I walked into work this morning with a short sleeve shirt and light jacket. It felt like the Spring I remember. This is what it’s supposed to be like. We only dropped to 40 degrees this morning.

We know we aren’t completely out of the woods just yet, though. While most of our nights ahead will be spent well above freezing, temperatures at or below freezing in the next couple of weeks are inevitable.

The earliest last spring freeze we have had was recorded on March 28 back in 1878. The latest last spring freeze date recorded was on May 21 of 2002.
