A truck hauling lumber overturned south of Aledo, Illinois, killing the driver.
Police said the straight truck was northbound on Illinois 94 when it went rolled onto its roof near 40th Avenue at about 1:45 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014.
“Based on evidence at the scene, in the vicinity of 40th Avenue the truck traveled off the right side of the road, over-corrected to the left and rolled onto its roof,” said a spokesman for Illinois State Police.
The driver, whose name was not yet released, was the only person in the truck. The driver was killed in the crash.
State investigators were working to reconstruct the crash.
