Customers safely escape fire at Davenport bar

Fire crews were on scene at a Davenport bar after a fire started inside.

A spokesperson from the City of Davenport said around 11:15 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 firefighters were called to Lumpy’s Bar and Grill in the 1500 block of Harrison Street for a fire.

According to a Davenport Fire Department spokesperson, the fire was under control in 30 minutes and was confined to the bathroom.

Everyone inside was able to safely escape. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for injuries.

The cause of the fire was unknown.

    Fire in the bathroom? Sounds like someone was either trying to smoke in there or it was intentional. Also, Katrina, you could’ve used a picture of the bar instead of a cheap image found on Google.
