Alleman softball scores 45-runs in double header wins

Rock lsland Softball, North Scott Soccer Invitational and The Gene Shipley Track meet.

The Alleman softball team had a big offensive day in their double-header against Rockford Auburn. The Pioneers scored 16runs in game one. They did not allow Rockford Auburn to score.  In game two, Alleman's offense continued to play well. The Pioneers scored 29-runs in another win. Giving them 45-runs for the double header.

Rock Island softball fell behind early against Rockton Hononegah. The Lady Rocks got their only two runs of the game from a home run by Jasmine Ragusi.  Rock Island lost 11-2.

North Scott soccer team hosted an 8-team invitational. The Lancers went 1-2 on the day. The Lancer beat Solon 3-0. The Lost to Cedar Falls 3-0 and Ankeny centennial 5-0.  Davenport West and Burlington played in the tournament, both going 1-1-1 on the day.

The outdoor track season officially began in Illinois with the Shipley Invitational, 8-boys and girls teams competed. United Township boys won the boys meet. The Rock Island girls were second to Wheaton Warrenville South.
