A Davenport man was found guilty of arson in connection with a 2012 fire at his home.

A Davenport man was found guilty of arson in connection with a 2012 fire at his home.

After a three day trial, Brian Earl Lebs was found guilty of second degree arson and insurance fraud on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, according to Davenport Fire Marshal Mike Hayman.

A spokesperson from the City of Davenport said in November of 2012 firefighters were called to the 700 block of South Elsie Street where heavy smoke was spotted. Crews were able to quickly put out the fire. The fire displaced two adults and five children.

Lebs was set to be sentenced in May. He was reportedly out on bond.
