The Rock Island Police Department has launched a Facebook page to keep you up-to-date on local crime fighting activity.

One of their first posts featured a photo of a man wanted for stealing cigarettes from behind the customer service counter at a Hy-Vee store. Within hours, Caleb Fisher was identified as the suspect.

More posts include promoting the Police Benevolent Association’s annual fiesta dinner and dance and a post of support for Maquoketa Police after one of their officers was shot in the line of duty.

They’re also sharing photos of suspects identified as “Rock Island’s Most Wanted.”
