Nests at both Alcoa and Decorah have had their first hatches of the season.
The Raptor Resource Project announced Tuesday, April 1, 2014 that it appeared the first pip was visible on the nest that morning near the DNR fish hatchery in Decorah. On Wednesday morning the first hatch was made.
Alcoa Davenport Works announced the first hold was spotted in the egg Tuesday, and the next day celebrated the hatching of their egg also. The eaglet arrived just after 10:30 a.m.
