A fiery crash closed northbound lanes of Highway 92 near 31st Avenue in Rock Island.
Initial reports indicated the crash involved a truck that ended up off the road along Highway 92 north of 31st Avenue. The truck crashed into a tree and burst into flames at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014.
Police at the crash scene said one person suffered “severe” injuries in the crash, and that person was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Northbound lanes of Highway 92 were closed to traffic. Drivers were forced to exit at 31st Avenue.
