Casey’s General Stores will expand its distribution center in Ankeny and build a second distribution center in Indiana.

The company announced the expansion Tuesday, April 1, 2014.

Casey’s will break ground in November 2014 on a distribution center that will employ more than 150 people in Terre Haute, Indiana. The location was chosen to serve current stores and in anticipation of later adding stores farther south and east.

There are nearly 1,800 Casey’s General Store locations in 14 states as of January 2014.

The new distribution center will cost an estimated $30 million to build. After groundbreaking, construction is expected to be completed in 12 to 18 months.

Casey’s recently began construction on a 38,000 square feet addition to their current distribution center in Ankeny.
