Yard waste collection in the QC is in the works.
In Bettendorf, from April 7 – April 18 stickers will not be required on yard waste bags. Waste will be collected on regular trash collection day.

The City of Davenport will offer “no sticker” curbside yard waste collection from Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 18, 2014. For more info, click here.
Yard waste must be out before 7 a.m. in a 2-ply Kraft paper bag with an EarthCycle Yard Waste Sticker (except during no sticker weeks) and bags must weigh less than 50 pounds. For more options to get rid of yard waste – click here.
In East Moline free yard waste pickup is every Wednesday from April 2 – April 30. Waste must be placed in paper yard waste bags. Stickers are not required during this time. Click here for more information.
In Moline, yard waste collection was set to run from Monday, March 31 – December 12. Bags of yard waste must be set 3 feet away from solid waste and recycle carts. Brush trimmings and tree limbs will also be collected for free. All collection will be done on the same day as your regular garbage collection day.
A spokesperson from the City of Moline said that bagged lawn waste needs to be in biodegradable paper bags that are 30-gallon capacity or less. A City yard waste sticker also needs to be attached.
You can purchase stickers for $2 at most hardware and grocery stores in Moline as well as at the Finance Office at 1630 8th Avenue.
If you have brush trimmings or tree limbs, they must be tied into bundles no more than four-feet long and one-foot in diameter. Any piles that are unbundled or larger than the allotted size will require a $140 prepayment at the Moline Finance Office. For more information on brush and tree limb requirements – click here.
The City of Rock Island will provide free leaf collection for residential refuse customers from Monday, April 7 – Friday, April 25. Bags will be available for free starting Monday, March 31. Residents will get a maximum of 20 bags per day. For more information – click here.
