As Black Hawk College prepares for construction of a new building on campus some parking will be blocked-off.

Construction for the school’s new Health Sciences Center on the QC campus was set to begin Monday, March 31, 2014.

Holly Smith, Black Hawk College’s Public Relations Specialist said as a result of the construction, part of Lot 2 will be closed. The lot will be accessible, but a temporary exit will be established.

Students and visitors are encouraged to arrive a bit earlier than normal and drivers are reminded to follow signs.

According to Black Hawk’s website, the groundbreaking for the new building will be held on Wednesday, April 2.
