Three teens were hurt when the car they were riding in overturned and smashed into a pole in Pleasant Valley.

The wreck was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 in the 25000 block of Valley Drive, near Spencer Road.  The location is residential.

Police said the car was westbound on Valley Drive when the driver lost control.

The pole appeared to have been sheared off just above the ground.  There were no reports of any power outages associated with the damage to the pole.

A sheriff’s deputy said three students, on their way to Pleasant Valley High School, were in the car when it overturned.  All three teens were taken to a local hospital.  The deputy said he did not think their injuries were life-threatening.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
