A 57-year-old man from Letts, Iowa died in a wreck involving an ATV.

A statement from the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Department said deputies were sent to an ATV wreck on private property in the 2600 block of Echo Avenue, in Letts, just before 9 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014.

Deputies found the body of Randy Dean Tomfield at the crash scene.  Mr. Tomfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

An online obituary for Mr. Tomfield said the crash happened at his home. It also said he was an avid outdoor-activity enthusiast who also played harmonica and sang in the band, “Spoonbills.”

Funeral services were planned for Mr. Tomfield in Muscatine.
