An East Moline man is accused of taking his girlfriend’s truck and driving it at a police squad car.

Police said Logan McArtor-Tank, 21, argued with his girlfriend and took her 2004 GMC Envoy from the parking lot of Jewel-Osco, 107 Avenue of the Cities, Monday evening, March 17, 2014.

Minutes after officers were sent to that location, they found McArtor-Tank and the Envoy in the 3700 block of Kennedy Drive.

“When police attempted to stop the vehicle, it drove straight at the squad car,” said East Moline Police spokesman Lt. Darren Gault.  “Officers attempted to stop the vehicle three additional times, and the vehicle fled from police on all three occasions.”

They eventually found the Envoy in Moline, but three days after it happened, police said they were still searching for McArtor-Tank.

Anyone with information about Logan McArtor-Tank should call police or Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities at (309) 762-9500.
