The man accused of robbing a bank in Clinton, Iowa made his first appearance in federal court.
Shane Roger Hoiland, 21, was indicted by a grand jury in January 2014. Hoiland is charged with bank robbery in connection with the robbery of the Lyon’s Branch of Clinton National Bank that happened February 25, 2013.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, later identified by prosecutors as Hoiland, during the robbery.
Hoiland made his initial appearance in connection with the charge March 13, 2014 in Des Moines.
Hoiland was expected to remain in jail until the case was resolved.
