Fewer than 20 votes separated Larry Burns from Paris Fotos in the race for the Democratic nomination to seek Rock Island County Board District 5.
With all five eligible precincts reporting, Burns had 52% of the votes and Fotos had 48%. Burns’ vote total was 210, and Fotos’ total was 192.
No Republican had filed to run for the District 5 board seat.
District 5 is in East Moline.
