Beyond the Green Screen: Cleaning Up for Spring
Have you done any spring cleaning yet? I haven’t. I can’t even say that I actually ever do a deep thorough “spring cleaning”. As I’m typing this and thinking about it I probably should but who wants to do that?
Since high school I developed not necessarily a love for but a need or desire to clean. The energy in the room and my overall feeling of being in a room that is clean is more positive. My boyfriend can testify to that 😉
Now that I have a dog I think it’s even more important. I don’t wipe Lily’s paws every time she comes in from outside and I let her roam free and stay on the couch during the day. Since she is missing many of her teeth due to neglect front previous owners, she almost always has her tongue hanging it of her mouth. It’s adorable. The drool stains on my furniture are not cute but she’s worth it. Nothing a little (sometimes a lot) of fabric cleaner can’t fix.
I have a couple of days off this week so I think cleaning is what I’ll be doing. The kitchen takes top priority, then the bathroom, then everything else. Do you ever feel like if one certain space or room in your house is clean then you’ve accomplished so much already? It’s definitely the kitchen for me. It’s rare to not see an extra large tub of Clorox wipes on my kitchen counter. Why put them away? I don’t think there’s a day that goes by that I don’t just grab one and wipe something down.
And that’s my cleaning story.
