Davenport Public Works Director Mike Clarke says his crews have been hard at work this winter, filling up more than 11,000 potholes during February of 2014.

Clarke also says that he's also had to use more of his crews to fill up the holes.Clarke says that usually, Davenport Public Works will only have about two or three crews working on potholes at a time. In February though, 15 different crews were out filling potholes.

News 8 didn't see any potholes on the major thoroughfares on Monday, March 17th, 2014, but we did spot potholes on some of the side streets like Main and High Street.

Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba will also talk about the city's work filling up potholes in his State of the City Address. That starts at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 17th, 2014, at the Outing Club.
