David Ramm, 35, of Davenport was released from the Scott County Jail just five hours after being booked.
According to a Scott County Jail listing, Ramm was booked at 7:21 PM Saturday night and released at 12:30 AM Sunday morning with a $5,000 bond.
In Iowa, a defendant is eligible for bond as long as he/she did not plea guilty or was awaiting sentencing for a Class A or B felony.
According to Assistant Chief of Davenport Police, Donald Schaeffer, on Saturday, March 15, 2014 around 4:15 p.m. three people were stabbed in the men’s restroom at Shenanigan’s. A member of security at the bar wrestled the suspect, David Gary Ramm, to the ground and held him until police arrived.
Police said Ramm was taken into custody and charged with three counts of willful injury - causing bodily injury and one count of going armed with intent. All four are Class D felonies.
Schaeffer said that all three stabbing victims suffered slashing wounds to their necks and one required surgery. Also, one of the victims sustained a “large slashing wound to the left side of his torso and his wrist.” While none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening, two of the men were kept at the hospital overnight.
According to police, the stabbings appeared to be unprovoked.
Ramm is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 18 at 8:30 AM.
