Central DeWitt boys’ basketball advanced to Class 3A Iowa State Championship. They have a chance at a title they haven’t held in more than 30 years.
The Central DeWitt Sabers played the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines Thursday, March 13, 2014.
After defeating the Go-Hawks, Thursday evening 56-54, the Sabers advanced to the final round.
Central DeWitt set to play Dubuque-Wahlert Saturday at 6:05 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Records show the Sabers have not won a state championship basketball game since 1981.
