Henry County saw a bit of flooding early Wednesday morning due to an ice jam on the Green River.
An ice jam is a normal thing that happens around this time of year. Once temperatures start warming up, the ice on the river breaks and starts flowing downstream. Once the ice starts backing up under a bridge, the water has nowhere else to go and floods the land around it.
The ice did start moving again Wednesday afternoon and the river was cleared by midday. Further down the road, however, was some more flooding.
