Tuesday, March 11th, 2014, UnityPoint Health Trinity in Bettendorf announced it has been named one of the “100 Top Hospitals” in the nation, as published in Modern Healthcare Magazine.

UnityPoint Health Trinity was measured against thousands of hospitals around the country for the award. The study was done by Truven Health Analytics. It evaluated a hospitals’ performance across the board — from patient safety and efficiency to financial goals.

Their President and CEO, Rick Seidler, said the news is very exciting, especially since they have only been in Bettendorf for a short period.

“We just celebrated our 10th anniversary of being in Bettendorf on this campus. Our Rock Island and Moline Hospitals are 50 and 100 years old, so when you look at the predecessor…in ten years to get this recognition is really quite exceptional,” Seidler said.

Seidler said that although they are very happy with the award, being recognized for it is not their main goal. He said they will continue to meet their vision of giving the best possible outcome for every patient every time.
