Woman found dead inside burning Jackson County home

A Jackson County, Iowa woman was found dead inside a burning home.

A spokesperson from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said fire crews arrived at the fire Friday, March 7, 2014 shortly before midnight to find the body of 34-year-old Theresa Marie Blake-Johnson inside. She was found inside a bedroom of the home on North Franklin Street, which was fully engulfed in flames.

The residence was a complete loss, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The State Fire Marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
