Mmmmm.  Bacon.

Madison, Wisconsin-based Oscar Mayer Institute for the Advancement of Bacon offers a device that, they say, can “transform your iPhone into a bacon-scent alarm clock.”

“OMIFAB is a consortium of the world’s greatest bacon minds – innovators, dreamers, artisans – all dedicated to unlocking bacon’s deepest mysteries for the benefit of bacon-lovers everywhere,” says a post on the OMIFAB website.

Their “Wake up and smell the bacon” app is free on iTunes.  It’s an alarm clock app that uses the sound of bacon sizzling as the wake-up tone.

Until April 4, 2014, app users who are 18 years old and older can also apply for a chance to be a beta tester for their add-on device that adds the scent of bacon to the alarm experience.
