A California man sued McDonald’s for $1.5 million because one of their managers refused to give him extra napkins.
Webster Lucas claimed he ordered food January 29, 2014 at the McDonald’s in Pacoima, California. According to TMZ, Lucas said he noticed he only got one napkin. When he went to the counter and asked for more napkins, he says things got ugly.
Lucas’ lawsuit claims the McDonald’s manager insisted he already got extra napkins, and refused to give him more. Lucas claims the manager also mumbled a racist comment.
Lucas said he was insulted when his complaint email to McDonald’s was answered with an offer for free food. Lucas claimed he suffered “undue mental anguish” and was unable to work because of the emotional distress the incident caused.
Lucas’ lawsuit asks for $1.5 million.
