It's not just flowers blooming at Wallace's Garden Center in Bettendorf. A young gardener's dream has been planted in the roots of the Quad City business.

"I'd like to start out here then work my way up," said Stacee Jones, who graduated from Iowa State in August of 2013.

Jones majored in Horticulture -- the science of plant growing. Now, she has dreams of one day owning her own garden center.

She's only worked at Wallace's Garden Center for a few weeks, but everytime she arrives to work she's reminded of her passion.

As she digs her hands through a pot of dirt, she explains how her passion for gardening began.

"I started gardening with my grandma in high school and I really enjoyed it and decided to study horticulture at Iowa State," she said while planting a paranial.

And as she plants dozens of flowers, she waters and cares for them like one of her own. Because it's not just a flower she's growing, it's a dream.
